Ellington Infant School
Uniform
It is the Governors’ policy that all children at Ellington Infant School must wear uniform in order to:
• Give them a sense of belonging
• Ensure that they are smartly and appropriately dressed for school
• Reduce any form of distraction
• Promote equal opportunities and avoid ‘one-upmanship’

We often have good quality uniform donated to us as children grow out of it, if you are in need of any uniform and are struggling to buy it please ask at the school office.
Our school uniform:
Red sweatshirt / cardigan (with or without school logo).
Red or white polo shirt (with or without school logo) .
Black or Grey trousers/shorts/skirt.
Red & white checked or striped summer dress.
Black flat heeled shoes that are suitable and safe to run and play in.
P.E.
House coloured t-shirt (please ask your child’s teacher if you are unsure which house they are in).
Black shorts and black jogging bottoms for colder days.
Black plimsolls.Â
No jewellery is allowed in school except for watches and stud earrings, which are the responsibility of the child wearing them. Other styles of earrings, necklaces and bracelets are dangerous, particularly in the playground. We ask that you ensure that your child is not put at risk because of dangerous jewellery.
